Danish Minister visits Chicago Offices
This week the Danish minister for Trade and Investment Pia Olsen Dyhr visits the U.S. in order to promote export of Danish solutions within water, energy and environment on the American market. On Tuesday she visited Mita-Teknik’s American sales representation offices in Chicago to attend the official opening of the North American ‘Wind Advisory Group’ and Bramidan’s new American offices. Our experienced U.S. representative Ali Mustaq attended the reception on behalf of Mita-Teknik.
During the week the minster will also meet with several decision-makers on the American market and on Thursday she will speak at the renowned think tank Brookings on the topic of climate and commerce.
Background:
Today the ministry of foreign affairs of Denmark publishes a report on the American market and the forecast looks promising. Danish export is expected to grow with no less than 11,8% during 2012 pushing the overall export of Danish services to the U.S. beyond 90 billion DKR. Also there is a growing potential within water, wind and IT for the healthindustry.
Pia Olsen Dyhr says; “These are very positive outlooks. The U.S. is the largest export target market outside Europe to Denmark. In the last two years our export grew with 6 billion DKR, which is very important to keeping and creating Danish jobs.” And she goes on to say, “We need to further increase our export and it looks good. This year we are expecting a 12% increase which is equivalent to an increase of more than 4 billion DKR. This prediction is being backed by 86% of the Danish companies currently on the U.S. market.”
Mita-Teknik has been represented in the U.S. for the past two years and has seen tremendous growth and expects this to continue over the coming years.
Mita-Teknik will be attending and showcasing our products at AWEA in Atlanta on June 3-6.
